I find bees curious. They always appear intent on going about their own business. I very much like this photo as it looks like the bee is reaching out towards me. You can see the pollen on the bee’s legs and face. I think this photo stands out as there is a clear colour distinction between the bee and its surroundings and you get a sense of the bees character.

I find this photo interesting as you can see all the amazing markings, different textures and parts to this butterfly. This Painted Lady butterfly is stunning with clear sections, both very differently patterned. From this photo, you can see how delicate the legs and antenna are.

This scarlet lily beetle is very striking sitting on its leaf. There is simple contrast between the black and red of the beetle, compared to its green background. I like how you can see the beetle’s markings down his back and how striking the colours are.

I find this photo interesting as I expected a ‘Bald Eagle’ to be bald! I also like how there are very few colours but the contrast shows what a striking bird it is. I also like how clear and and pure-looking the eyes and feathers are. This animal is captive and their species classed as least concern.
